What Is TraumAnonymous? A Peer-Led Space, Explained
Sometimes you know something happened, but you don't have the words for it yet. You might not be ready for therapy, or you might want something alongside it. TraumAnonymous was started at Holistic Life Studios for exactly that space.
What it is
TraumAnonymous is a peer-led group that meets online every Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM Eastern. It's a confidential, supportive space to share your experiences, thoughts and challenges, to listen to others who understand, and to breathe. No labels, and no judgment.
Sessions focus on empowerment, emotional resilience and practical tools to help you reclaim your wellbeing. You can share as much or as little as you like. Listening is participating too.
Who it's for
TraumAnonymous is for anyone who:
- is just realizing something wasn't okay
- doesn't yet have words for what happened
- feels unsettled but isn't sure why
- is testing whether it's safe to speak
Whether you're just beginning or have been on this path for a while, you'll find encouragement, connection and hope.
What it isn't
It matters to be clear about this. TraumAnonymous is peer support. We are not a suicide hotline, we are not mandatory reporters, and we are not a mental health service. Nobody in the group is there as your therapist.
If you are in crisis or thinking about suicide, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, any time, day or night. In an emergency, call 911.
If you'd like professional support as well, our trusted wellness providers include counselors and therapists.
Why it exists
At Holistic Life Studios we often say: "We just refuse to believe that human pain can only be clinically or chemically managed." Clinical care has its place. So does sitting with other people who get it. TraumAnonymous is one way we make room for that, and our founder, Charlie Inch, explores the same ideas on the Trauma Philosopher podcast.
How to join
Fill in the short intake form and join the Zoom group on Tuesday evening. Both are on the TraumAnonymous page. You don't need to prepare anything. Just come as you are.
